COVID-19 Guidance Regarding Masks:
According to the Kentucky Department for Public Health, licensed massage therapists are included in healthcare settings.
I follow the recommendation of local hospitals. Every week, appointments are made with people who have high risk health histories or conditions and treatments, so the office continues strategies to reduce illness. Massage therapy requires close proximity for one to two hours at a time. I wear a mask during sessions and run HEPA filters, to keep my highest risk clients safe.
COVID-19 and Other Illness Precautions:
The office is implementing precautions, to minimize the spread of infection. As usual, please reschedule if you feel ill or have symptoms. If you have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or similar symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, other cold or flu-like symptoms), please wait 1 week before scheduling an appointment. Since the virus is very contagious, and you can be infected with allergy-like symptoms, the office is doing precautions to keep everyone well.
1. Please wait in your car, until the time of your appointment. Only the person with the appointment will be allowed to enter the office. Children may be accompanied by a parent.
2. If hospitals reinstate masking during high community spread or increased severity, everyone is required to wear a face mask, for the duration of time in the office and session. The mask will need to cover the mouth AND nose the entire time. I have extra masks, if you forget one.
3. Entering and leaving the office, please clean your hands. We have hand sanitizer and restrooms around the corner from the main entrance (under the stairs, across from the dentist's office).
4. As usual, hand and forearm washing will be done before and after each session. Three HEPA filters will be running for the entire day of sessions.
5. All commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected between appointments and at the end of the day (table, handles, light switches).
Thank you for understanding, and be well!
